Then, all you need to do is assemble the ingredients, turn on the slow cooker, and within a few hours dinner is ready. Also, each of these recipes have two time options for low and high cooking to allow for flexibility depending on your schedule.

Every hour of stovetop simmering or baking at 350º is equal to 8-10 hours on low or 4-6 hours on high. Also, you may need to adjust liquids because steam is produced during slow cooking. Reduce liquids by a cup or two. If the base recipe doesn’t call for any liquids add ½ cup of water or broth to create the steam.
