Preparation

  1. Cook lentils according to package instructions. Set aside. 
  2. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, bell pepper, brown sugar, chili powder, cumin & paprika. Sauté for 4-5 minutes until soft & slightly browned. 
  3. Add tomato sauce & worcestershire sauce. Mix well & simmer 5 minutes. Add cooked lentils to the skillet & stir together. 
  4. Serve lentil mixture on a whole-wheat bun topped with shredded cheese!

Tips

Add sliced onion or pickled jalapeños for a flavorful topping!

  1. The receipes sound & look good, thank you for them. I’m going to try some, but other ones I won’t. My way of eating is going to change, by trying these meal dishes. We love Sloppy Joe’s & hamburgers, so I’m going to try your version. Also, I enjoy soups & salads. Do you have a recipe for chili?
