Indigenous Foods for Early Childhood Education
Honoring Culture. Nourishing Children. Supporting Caregivers.
Welcome to the Indigenous Foods Early Childhood Education Project — a collaborative initiative that uplifts traditional North American Indigenous foods while supporting healthy eating habits in early childhood care settings.
We believe that nourishing young children goes beyond nutrition. It’s about connection — to culture, to community, and to the land. Our recipes and educational materials are adapted for Early Care and Education (ECE) providers, families, and community programs serving young children, especially in tribally-affiliated child care programs participating in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
